Pre School Committee and AGM

Can you spare an hour or 2 every couple of  months?

Your Pre-School needs you!!!

Dear Parents / Carers

You may not be aware that your Pre-School is a charity funded organisation run by a committee made up of parents who kindly volunteer to help.

By law all charities need a committee, and without one the Pre School would have to close!

From November we will need new parents to join us to replace those moving on.

As a committee member you would need to attend approximately 5 to 6 meetings throughout the year (usually at the Portreath Arms)

We have lots of fun raising money to buy much needed equipment and resources to benefit our children.

We also try to get together for social evenings, so if you are new to the Pre-school and would like to get to know a few mums and staff this could be right up your street.

We are planning a cake sale as our 1st fundraiser for this term on Wed 19th Oct at 3pm. Please come along and speak to some current committee members to find out more

The AGM will be held on Wednesday 2nd November 6.30pm in conjunction with a parents evening, to vote in a new committee.

Thank you for your support

Help raise money for Pre School

Shop for Christmas and make money for pre-school!

Have you started your Christmas shopping yet?  Will you be using the internet?

Don’t forget to register with ‘easyfundraising’ to help raise money for pre-school.  It costs nothing to you, is very easy to use and could even save you money with discounts not given anywhere else!

All you need to do is register at www.easyfundraising.org.uk/portreathpreschool

Then start shopping using the links provided to stores such as Argos, Next, Amazon, John Lewis, Toys R Us, HMV and hundreds of other top name stores.

Every time you buy something online (and through the easyfundraising website) with one of these stores ‘easyfundraising’ will give the preschool a donation.

If you do register, you can make extra money for the preschool by using the ‘easysearch’  search engine.  Instead of using, for example, google/ask.com to search for things on the web – use ‘easysearch’ and they will give us further donations.
